Not surprisingly, I have had a tough time working through how best to write this announcement. Many hours were spent staring at a blank computer screen, stumped by all the different ways that I could say goodbye.

Do I start from the beginning? Do I speak again to the same five things that lead us (and many others over the last few years) to throw in the towel? Honestly, I’m not one for long goodbyes, so I’ll do my best to keep it brief.

In the end, the only thing that felt important to say was a simple THANK YOU. So, that’s what this is, a thank you letter to all the friends and family who believed in me, and helped get this thing off the ground. Thank you to everyone who has purchased products over the last 9 years, and to the hosts and attendees of our countless events.

Thank you to all the talented people that were up for collaborating with us. Thank you to those who have taken the time to write us sweet words of encouragement or beautiful thank you letters. I am super proud of what we have built together, and grateful for the experience.

Handyma’am always felt like more than just the goods we produced. My hope was to create great products, sure, but building confidence in and highlighting a community that I was, and still am, genuinely enamored with was always the mission. When women get together and lift each other up, it’s pure magic.

The beautiful thing about building quality products is they LAST, sometimes even longer than the brand itself... Knowing that Handyma’am will live on, helping people do what they do best, even after we close our doors, feels like a win.

So now what? We still have lots of garments waiting to fulfill their destiny; help us bring these babies home!
